Squad leaders, COs, XOs, XXOs
The new Teamspeak admin interface is now squad aware. Squads attach themselves to KGs and then can manage their own players. Players may apply for KGs as before, or may apply for a squad in that KG. Squad leaders will be permitted to approve their own players onto teamspeak. If a squad moves to another KG, all the players go with it.
Squad leaders must first register with the OKA TS server. If you already have an account, then you must transfer it to the new server. The transfer process merely involves selecting a brigade and typing in your old TeamSpeak login name. (which is usually the same as your WWIIOL game name) The transfer process is instant and there is no waiting list.
TRANSFER YOUR OLD TS ACCOUNT: click here
If you did not have a Teamspeak Account before the switch, you must register for one. This involves selecting a brigade and entering your username, password, and email address. Once your registration is submitted, you will go on to the waiting list to be approved by an OKW officer in that brigade's chain of command.
TO CREATE A NEW TEAMSPEAK ACCOUNT: click here
Once you your account is activated on the appropriate brigade, you will be able to register your squad for that brigade. Login to the TS site here. You will find a link titled "APPLY YOUR SQUAD". At this point you may fill in any pertinent information about your squad.
Once your squad is approved, you will be given a designation key for your squad (it will look something like "OKW-HEER-8-44-48-55-33"). Include this key in your welcome emails to your new squad members, and they can paste this key into their TS application form. As a squad leader, you may approve or deny users into your squad, and remove their accounts if necessary. Additionally, you may also empower other leaders in your squad to manage your players.
This allows for flexibility in squad management as well as simplicity of registration. You'll have to see it for yourself. Players can no longer get lost by registering for a non-existant unit and their squad leadership can ensure that they are never stuck on the waiting list.
Keep in mind that this software is still being tested. Please report bugs here.
