Sneaky Zkai strikes again
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/Svedala/Ad/a1.jpg (OKW) Feldwebel Zkai, XXO der 7. Infanterie Division (http://www.7-infanterie-division.de/7idneu.swf) reported: " Axis forces were on the attack towards the city of Andenne (22.09.). Upon arrivial I found myself tangled with a french scout vehicle. After firing a couple of shells I found that I destroyed a panhard (http://events.wwiionline.com/scripts/services/persona/sortie.jsp?sid=12728825&pid=515562&page=1). I returned to base for more ammo and brought my trusty Pak closer to the town. Meter by Meter. The enemy forces in the area tried to bring in more LKW and tanks to fight us of but they found themselves crushed much thanks to a forward observer of ours. I personally had contact with a soldaten who spent 4 hours in the same spot, he kept calling in fire, marked tanks, LKW and individual enemies whom closed in on our positions. I dont remember his name, though. Suddenly we lost contact to the main forces as our forward base fell to an overhelming mass of allied attackers. I was still out there with my Pak 38 and decided to go for the city of Andenne. After a long time and a lot of sweat, I found myself very close to town. I knocked down the allied defense (AI) several times in the south parts of Andenne and awaited the recapture of our FB and arrivial of friendly soldaten. I was alone behind enemy lines. I waited and waited, but I couldn´t see anyone from my Kampfgruppe. Obviously they were needed somewhere else and I had to rely on myself. I set up in the middle of the town. The bridge was destroyed by our Luftwaffe and so it came that a single enemy sapper (http://events.wwiionline.com/scripts/services/persona/sortie.jsp?sid=12728872&pid=515562&page=1) arrived to do some repairs. He just ran to the bridge, where I waited with a smile. I think he was pretty surprised to see me in the middle of their town. I aimed coldblooded at him and pulled the trigger. He had no chance. As my Pak recieved damage from AI earlier, I couldn´t reposition anymore and I was taken out by the more agile enemy infantry. The stories tells us not to give up easily and not to move out. I showed them that a single ATG can go to an allied town and keep them up their toes. Beware Allies, we are closer then you think!"
