(October 12th - Oberkommando das Heer)
Sp0ro, Hero of Bievre!
(Oberfeldwebel Zkai) Recently I met Gefreiter Sp0ro (http://events.wwiionline.com/scripts/services/persona/service.jsp?pid=528733) at the battle for Bievre. The french army gave us a hard time there and so we were ordered to attack another target, before we loose more precious equipment. Our forces were already retreating from town as I suddenly heard a voice on my radio. There was still a soldier out there and he was asking for permission to capture a target. As I was one of the last ones out there on my way back to the base I answered him and asked him not to do so, because there was the danger of a fallback in this situation. He asked what he should do instead. As I noticed a lot of flak-fire still at the town I mentioned that it might be a good Idea to target the enemy AA-guns. I later meet Sp0ro again and he reported that he had taken out 10! targets out of business on his mission with nothing more then a rifle! He sneaked up the enemy army base and found french soldiers eating cheese and drinking wine. I am sure they didnt expect to be disturbed. He told me that they had to send a full Squad after him, but they were not able to spot him and so he killed more of them from his hideout. Finally they found him, but it showed that a single dedicated axis soldier can stand up against a full enemy unit for a long time. By this performance he held the french unit under pressure in the town for a long time, making it possible for our soldier to advance on another spot.

(October 6th - Oberkommando das Heer)
7. Infanterie Division involved in heavy fighting
(Oberfeldwebel Zkai) I just came back from the frontline. After a shower and some needed sleep I want want to write down some my experiences. The battle has been pretty hard as allied forces have advanced deep into our territory. This was several days ago. I found myself looking at my map staring in disbelief first. How could the french Army cut so through our lines? When I noticed the new developed french tanks rolling up to our position in extremely high number, I understood.

My Kameraden and me from the 7. ID began with setting up counter-attacks and blow up Forward-Bases whereever we could. We fought against high numbers of french soldiers, more then I was used to. They must have had some new units setup as they planned on overrunning us. But an axis soldier doesnt give up that fast. Our leadership brought us some new equipment, the Panzer IVg and the StugIIIg. It showed impact as the effective weapons began to destroy one enemy tank after the other. I did personally fight in Le Chesne, Sedan, Bievre, Bouillon and many other towns. After awhile I was so confused, that I didnt even know the name of the town I was just fighting in and I am impressed by those axis soldiers who were fighting along my side.

Yesterday I was fighting in the town of Bouillon. My CO Oberst Schakal setup the attack-coordinates and we setup with our opel and some Panzers around the town. A couple of brave german soldiers were also already around. When we started the attack they surprisingly didnt come up with tanks as they usually do. My CO was suspicious that they were planning a fallback, so he ordered us just to capture one of those spawnable depots and nothing else for the start. He knew that only this would bring us victory. Still, no enemy tanks came up to battle. After a hour of infantry-fight we conquered the city and they began sending us waves of tanks into town from the north. Several Laffys setup around town, with dozen of enemy infantry eager to make the town french again. Meanwhile I was part of a special operations team under command of Kitty on a glider attack at their forward bases and was able to place some satchels on their infantry tents, but the defense perimeter was so close that we couldnt destroy it fully. We had already enemy tanks in our army base, but we were still fighting and so I returned there to join my Kameraden again. I looked for our supplys and we were already down to rifles and some few smgs. We still managed to take down some tanks. A miracle as I concentrated myself on defending the most important choke points. Maybe someone was able to bring some Sappers to our town. I dont know. The french army reacted and send even more troops to our town.

Kitty ordered a fallback, as the situation was getting dangerous and the french had both spawnable choke points in their hand. Stus and Shermans were mowing us down in our army base. Surprisingly the french attack objective was pulled and placed again. I am sure that our High Command wouldnt do something like that. By this foul strategic move we were forced to keep on fighting with the low supplies we had. No help, no new supply for us. I was able to shoot Allied High Command soldiers, as they wanted to conquer the important choke points we just had taken back. But as french morale was already broken by our hardened Soldiers, they didnt stand a chance and we were able to hold the town against all odds. Again I was impressed how our troops worked together under these circumstances. In moments like this I am even more proud to be a german soldier.

I personally want to thank soldiers like Zalkin, Ian77 from Scotland, dernits, dinker, Kitty420, spock420, tman, leaderon, Olavv the "Wild" and all the others who kept up the fight in the last days. All of them were steadily present in a fighting area, working as firemen on every location. Thank you.

Today I look at the map and I am satisfied with the outcome. We are moving westwards again!
