Now that the game is playable again, we shall try an early-morning sunday op again to get some players back to the game (well hasn't really been a problem lately), to warm up for difficult targets ahead (Namur,Antwerp,Brussels) and of course to roll the front a bit. :)
Oberkommando des Heer Communication
Operation Order
SECURITY LEVEL: Confidential - Suitable for Secure Squad Forums
From: Generalmajor Zeta, 27ID XO
To:
Armee: 6. & 12. (Euro)
Operation Name: Blitzkrieg (original, eh?-)
Operation Type: Attack
Operation Target: TBD
Start Date: Jan/21/2007
Start Time: 11:00 Western Europe (GMT)
Operation Text Channel: 60
Operation Objective:
Operation Blitzkrieg. This sunday 21.1. starting 12:00 Berlin time GMT+1.
6 EST
11 GMT
12 Berlin time
13 Finn time
22 Sydney time
We start with 1+ hour of resupply (for the first and also for the future
targets). First attack will start around 13-14 Berlin time (depending on
overstocking opportunities and our player numbers).
The plan is to roll easy targets, target after target with brute force,
numerical superiority and massive amounts of overstocked armor
(of which I hope around 70% survive each target and can advance
to the next one). And we of course can rely on our well-tuned basic
attack maneuvers and tactics, that we all know by heart.
Plenty of eggs above the target when ground units break the EWS
line will keep the enemy units from spreading out while our ground
units move close, guaranteeing fast captures. Early scouts (inf, no ews)
will mark targets and report when first enemy armor spawns, at which
point LW will come down and start the axis Target Rich Environment :).
LW can ovestock planes while the ground overstocks armor. LW's role is
important. I'd like to see as many pilots online that you can get,
stress this !
(Note: No Target Rich Environment above the target before our ground units
break EWS line and/or the target is already obvious to the enemy!)
Target area will be decided based on 1) where there are enough units to
operate with 2) ovestrocking opportunities and 3) standing orders for both
armees.
We must try to avoid targets, where we would have to wait for
spawnlist/etc before proceeding to the next target.
Last time we managed to do couple fallbacks on towns we had used to
attack another town, which gave us full lists again. This takes time and
slows the momentum down, so I'd not aim to do this, but if we decide on
a target like Namur, we might have to do couple fallbacks for supply if
opportunities arise (hopefully we can attack some other target
meanwhile).
I'll be online 11 Berlin time to discuss the targets (and the night
before).
edit: "Target Rich Enviroment" ==> "41r qu4k3". Stooopid filters. :)
