To all officers and soldiers in the 6. and 18. Armee.
You are hereby given the "Luxembourg Breakout"-shield for the actions taken the 19th and 20th of August when Heeresgruppe B, containing the 6. and 18. armies, spearheaded the breakout drive south by taking Luxembourg and its surrounding cities and the airfields of Metz and Etain.
The assault broke the french frontline and destroyed the french troopers morale which enabled the german army to quickly move westwards and capture all of the french-held territory, including the research and production facilities in Amiens, Abbeville and Montreuil.
Wear the shield with pride and honour.
