Officers of the 6.Armee, S!;
I see that the situation around Liege is starting to unravel. Vise and Sprimont are gone.
I saw completely useless attacks on Tongeren last night while my orders to capture Liege were essentially ignored, except for one Division.
I also saw, last night, a very fractured effort and no attempt to form the Big KGs as I had directed. If we continue to play the way we did last night, we will lose this map in the north. There was also a distinct lack of officers in game. I realize that it is the 4th of July weekend, but I only have personally received, and have seen in the forums, a handful of LOA requests. If you can find the time at all this weekend to get in game, please do so. Even if its only for an hour or so.
When I say I want a Big KG in each Korps, its not a suggestion, its a directive. ALL OKW officers in each Korps are to transfer themselves and their soldiers to one KG in each Korps and conduct operations as either the attack or defense KG. Its a fairly simple order to follow, but somehow, people found it impossible to do last night. The rotational part of the Big KG concept is there so that each KG can, at some point, be the Big KG for their Korps and be the tip of the spear for that day.
Our enemies, the British, are taking advantage of our unwillingness to counteract what they are doing and are taking towns from us. I absolutely HATE having to go to the Big KG concept, but it is the ONLY way I can immediately think of to stop the hemorraghing of towns and start taking ground back. If somebody has a better idea, tell me, and we will explore it. For now, the Big KG is the order of the day.
Mapwise, the River Maas line is to be held, from Venlo to Maastricht. Any further town lost on that line is to be immediately counterattacked and retaken. Herr Schaller, the OKH CO, has directed that 12.Armee will assist us in the counterattack. Call upon them, they will help. Liege and its surrounding towns are to be retaken; Vise, Sprimont, Liege, Hamoir, Nandrin, Ramet, not necessarily in that order. Let the tactical situation decide which order. XXVII Korps has the attack Big KG and will concentrate on retaking the Liege area. IV Korps has the defense Big KG and will hold the River Maas line.
6.Armee is at a tipping point right now. A few more town losses and the situation may be irretrievable. We are the guardians of the factory complexes. If we fall, the map is over. I can only tell you how to defeat the British and fight alongside you. You have to decide if you have the will to defeat the British. See you on the battlefield.
Onward to victory!
