Between moving to a new, larger studio, and the ice storm - we've been a bit quiet on the forums while we thaw out. Sorry for the delay in getting information out there but we've certainly been busy. Here's the latest:

- what is the next update to GA?
Rather than releasing a large Global Agenda expansion as paid-DLC, we will release a Global Agenda update (version 1.4) that is smaller in scope but will be FREE to the entire player population.

- when should we expect the next update?
We plan to release this 1.4 update to Public Test Servers before the end of March. We'll rely heavily on feedback from the Public Test server and then take 1.4 to Live servers as soon as we feel it is ready.

- what will this update include?
It will include a new Defense mission where 10 players fight alongside Bancroft to protect Dome City itself from Recursive Colony attack including new bots and bosses. This is the mission highlighted in the holiday PC Gamer magazine ("Global Agenda - 10 Months Older, 5 Times Better") and we feel this content will be Global Agenda's most challenging and intense mission to date. In addition, 1.4 will include at least one new PvP map, bug-fixes, weapon balance adjustments, and some AvA metagame adjustments. Additional content may be included if it is completed in time.

- what will NOT be included in the upcoming 1.4 update?
The following things were considered but will NOT be included in the update -> An increase in the player level cap beyond 50, any new devices that require level beyond 50, and content that was envisioned to require characters beyond 50 including second Open Zone & offensive PvE raid. These items would have been popular with some players but would have also increased the grind necessary to experience that content, and increased the importance of character level over player skill.

- what & when is the next update to AvA?
We'll continue to monitor and tweak metagame rules as necessary but there are no AvA overhauls planned for Q1. One example change requested from the community that will be implemented in 1.4 is: limiting agencies to a single defense facility (to promote more fighting on the map); We'll also continue to implement balance adjustments to AvA tech production and power.

- i missed the event to earn the Anubis flair. can i acquire it or buy it?
We've received a surprisingly large number of requests to purchase GA items. We have NO plans to ever sell GA stat-based items such as weapons or armor or mods for real-world money/microtransactions. However, we are considering selling a few of the cosmetic items - specifically flair and pets - We have not yet made a final decision.

- are you abandoning GA for Tribes?
Definitely not. We are continuing the Global Agenda franchise.

In fact we've heard requests for a competitive shooter with "Global Agenda like gameplay" but not an MMO. And we're listening. At the March Game Developers Conference we will be announcing an entirely new game coming from Hi-Rez Studios - featuring many of the Global Agenda characters you are already familiar with, but it will not be an MMO. More details to come but you heard it here first!

Our growing development studio is excited about the potential of this new project, and the Tribes project, while continuing to update and improve Global Agenda for our ever growing population! In the shorter-term, we look forward to playing the new Dome City Defense mission alongside many of you on Public Test. In fact I'm inspired to post a few Dome Defense screenshots tonight!

Thanks very much for your continued support of Global Agenda and our development team.
